We use RDAP (Registration Data Access Protocol), the authoritative source for domain registration data. This provides highly accurate results, though we recommend double-checking at your registrar before purchase as domain status can change quickly.

What is Wordoid Mode?

Wordoid Mode generates brandable, pronounceable made-up names that sound natural but don't exist in the dictionary. These are perfect for startup names, product brands, and unique company identities.

How do the language settings work?

The language setting affects how the generated names sound. You can select one or more languages:

• English - Names with English phonetic patterns (cloudify, techzen)
• Spanish - Softer sounds with Spanish endings (novelo, rapida)
• French - Elegant sounds with French influences (lumière, bellair)
• Italian - Musical names with Italian flair (velocio, stellana)
• German - Strong sounds with German patterns (kraftwerk, blitzen)

What does Quality level mean?

High creates names that closely resemble natural words. Medium allows more creative combinations. Low produces the most experimental and unique results.

How does Pattern Position work?

If you enter a pattern like "tech":

• Beginning - Pattern starts the word: tech + suffix (techify, techora)
• Ending - Pattern ends the word: prefix + tech (novatech, skytech)
• Containing - Pattern is in the middle (zutechlo, pritechen)

What is Two-Word Mode?

Two-Word Mode combines your keyword with a curated list of nearly 4000 common English words to create two-word domain combinations. For example, if you enter "cloud", you might get results like "mycloud", "cloudbase", "supercloud", etc.

How many word combinations are available?

We use a dictionary of nearly 4000 common English words (900+ that go before your keyword, 2900+ that go after), generating thousands of potential domain combinations for each keyword you enter.

What TLDs are supported?

We support all major TLDs including .com, .net, .org, .io, .co, .ai, .app, and .dev. You can also add custom TLDs like .co.uk, .com.au, etc.

How do I add custom TLDs?

Click the "Manage TLDs" button to open the TLD manager. Enter your custom TLD (e.g., co.uk or com.au) and click Add. Your custom TLDs are saved in your browser's localStorage and will persist across sessions.

Are my TLD preferences saved?

Yes! Both your selected TLDs and any custom TLDs you add are saved in your browser's localStorage. They'll be remembered even after you close the browser.

Why do some domains show as "Checking"?

To optimize performance, we use lazy loading to check domain availability. Domains are checked as they come into view. You can also click the "Check" button to manually verify any domain.

How do I register a domain I found?

Click the "Register" button on any available domain to go directly to Namecheap's registration page. You can use any registrar of your choice - simply copy the domain name and search for it on your preferred registrar's website.

Can I save domains for later?

Yes! Click the star icon on any domain card to save it to your favorites. Your saved domains appear in the "Saved Domains" section and are stored in your browser's localStorage.
